Married and loving it!

It has been a hectic four months. But Arnie and I finally made it out alive...

WE ARE FINALLY MARRIED!!!

Amidst all the drama and preparations we had to endure, the end result is what really mattered: we have taken the step that people have been waiting for us to take, that both of us have wanted to take for a long time. I finally get to call Arnie my husband, and me, his wife.

Arnie and I did nothing but laugh and smile through the whole affair. The event was filled with people who loved us and truly celebrated the moment with us. A lot of tears were shed because of happiness. Arnie's family have always loved me from the moment we started dating. My mum loves Arnie like her own son.

I never felt as lucky as I do now that I have bagged this wonderful man and I feel like I have won the lottery a million times over for being able to call him mine.

Finally the big 3-0

Today I turn 30.

I vividly remember my younger self thinking about how I would turn out when I reach this age.

I'm getting married in six weeks to a fabulous man.

I have two wonderful fur kids.

I am surrounded by friends and loved ones.

I am happy with my career.

I have a fabulous boss.

I am happy - period.

Life truely begins at 30.

Of goodbyes and birthdays

And so my nephews in law left early this morning. The past couple of weeks was fun. They actually gave me and Arnie a thank you card and gifts - for me actually. A pack of US playing cards (15-year old Aaron was teaching me all these neat card tricks that I will definitely get better at) and a Lord of the Rings 500 piece puzzle (for I am a huge LOTR fan - I actually have an elvish tattoo on my arm).

And silly me, I actually cried! Gah!

Oh well, they are very sweet kids.

To my "adopted sons Allan and Aaron, you guys are always welcome to stay over and I hope to see you guys next year!

Danke!

I also want to greet my loving fiance a happy 38th birthday.

Lots of love and kisses and wish you more to come!

The day I was born...

It's amazing how much people change as they get older. I remember when I was a kid, I used to love having my birthday around. It meant having all the attention of your family and friends, and getting all the wonderful gifts.

Today, I turned 29. Not such a big deal anymore. I am currently in Sydney, working. I left my mother, Arnie, and two (doggy) kids behind. Not really fussed, I just miss spending time with them whenever my "special" day comes up.

My work mates are taking me out tonight which I think is so nice of them. When you get older, birthdays don't seem to matter much. In my case, all I long for is the company of my loved ones...

But it doesn't hurt that you get excellent gifts though... like the one Arnie gave me 3 weeks back. I mentioned 2 doggy kids, right?

This is our new baby pugalier (Pug x Cavalier) boy named Gimli. Isn't he a sweetheart?

Happy birthday to me...

I'm back and sassier than evah!

Hello my blog friends! Sorry for the long hiatus but I enjoyed my break too much that even when I went back to work, I honestly felt like I was still on holiday! It's already the second week of the first month of the new year and we are yet to get back to normal working pace.

It's been a blast this past Christmas and New Year. I don't want to bore you guys with the details but it basically involved:

  1. Shopping
  2. Lots of alcohol
  3. Lots of late nights
  4. Lots of yummy food
  5. Lots of cuddling with the hubby
  6. Days and days of not logging into the net

I am now getting back to my gym routine and try to work off all those cheeses (blame Arnie's sister) and wine (can't blame anyone but myself) I gorged myself in.

I am also going to stop with the shopping. All these after Christmas sales is driving me mad and makes me reach for my already empty wallet over and over again! Damn these capitalist maniacs!

How about you people? How was the holidays for you?

Till next time!

Over and out...

I'll be away for a few days. Not going anywhere special, mind you, it's just going to be a rather busy Christmas and New Year for me is all. I'm afraid I won't be able to update for awhile.

Here's just a brief look at what's currently in my social calender:
  1. Complete furnishings at house
  2. Go to Sassafras
  3. Christmas Party at Mum's place
  4. Boxing Day party at friends' place
  5. Arnie's sister coming down from New South Wales - staying at our place
  6. Accompany said sister shopping for probably 3 days
  7. New Year's Eve party at my place
  8. New Year's day party at my place

This is just a tentative list which I am quite sure I'll add on later during the week.

I'll be taking the whole week off from work and will be back on the 2nd of January wherein a ton of work will be waiting. I have just received my targets and it is rather challenging. I will definitely try and meet it. After all, the monetary incentive is quite promising!

Just in case I don't "see" you guys, thanks for your continued support, for reading and taking an interest in my ho-hum life.

Have a safe Christmas and fantastic New Year!

Engagement Party pics are here!

I finally got around to posting these things. I was planning to do some kind of collage but have no idea how to so I posted these the old fashion way through Picasa.

Anyway, I'll have to warn you guys. To those who have known me for quiet sometime now would know that I am not girly. I am very much a tomboy and I think I'll be staying this way until the day I die. Unfortunately, certain things in my life like a bloody engagement and being so in love tend to change my perspective... a bit.

Get ready to see some Jennie girly pics... shudder...

This is definitely not going to be a regular occurence!

Enjoy the pictures!
