but yesterday after my morning shower, there it was...
standing at attention, a terrible sight...
I found my very first grey hair...
ARGH!!!

In my family, there's a different outlook regarding white/grey hair. My dad's family, especially, has a genetic trait that makes them prematurely grey. My uncle as a kid had several grey hairs. Even my cousin at age five has several grey ones too,
I agree with kat. It's in the genes. My father also had premature grey hairs when he was just 12. So, I got mine when I was in high school. But that didn't mean I was old. Haha! Besides, old doesn't really mean ugly, right? ;)
I guess considering that all my cousins have had greys since their teens, I shouldn't really complain. Just a shock is all :(

It's also in my genes to have a lot of grey hair at a young age. Fortunately for me, we were also blessed with thick lustrous hair so hindi mashado halata yung ibang grey hair. I have so many I've learned to live with it. It's not the end of the world. And if you can't really stand it, there's always permanent hair dye. :-D
One strand is ok, be worried if you see a patch of it, then you should worry. But then again, there's so much hair-care solutions out there, it shouldn't be a problem at all =D
