Adult decisions

Arnie and I decided to cancel our house hunting for at least six months. With the interest rates fluctuating at the moment because of the upcoming elections, it may be a good idea to wait till it all settles. Besides, we're in no hurry. It's not like we both don't have a home to go to.

Except that this decisions sets us back, again, from finally living together.

We've been together for six years and have never lived together aside from our "bahay-bahayan stints". We really want to experience being together almost 24-7 in the same space, sharing the same kitchen, lounge, bedroom, and all the that.

So, we also decided to bite the bullet and speak to my mum about us living together in a rented property for the time being till we finally decide to buy our house.

And to my surprise, my mother was quite accepting and understanding.

She also says that it'll be good for my independence.

Okay, I'm not lazy but you know when you live with your mother, you tend to leave most of the housework to her. Mothers being mothers, you know.

So, Arnie and I will be moving in together after all. It may not be our own place yet, but it is the start to our brand new life as a live-in couple.

We are now in the process of looking for a place that is practical, reasonable, and pretty.

Will keep you guys posted.

Hmmm, come to think of it, we are still house hunting in a way, huh?

Exciting times ahead!

Hey, best of luck! Who knows? You'll get to find more options for your home sweet home. Besides, big decisions like buying a home should not be hastily made. :)
