I have been begging Mother Nature to let the sun out during these gloomy winter days. This past week, the sun has been out enticing me to come out and play. Of course, I chose the right moment to come down with the effin' flu.
Stupid, stupid flu! I hate getting sick! I feel so helpless, sniffling, coughing, and looking utterly miserable! Like yesterday, I had to cut a party attendance short and ask my partner to take me home because I wasn't feeling the best. Grrrrrr!!!!!
Arnie is coming over today and I asked him to bring some DVDs and a box of KFC. Ah, comfort food! Yum!
I am feeling much better today. I can sit in front of the computer and not feel ill after 10 minutes. Luckily, it's also the Queen's Birthday long weekend so I get an extra day of rest before I go back to work.
I do have a tendency of pushing myself too hard. Arnie and my mum would often complain about this and tell me to take it easy. I feel like I have all this energy that I need to use up or else. Sigh, now I'm paying for my over-exertion with this stupid flu.
I'm driving over Arnie's place tonight to sleep over with my pug Meeko in tow. I am hoping for a restful yet productive Monday.
